Berkeley Breathed is an American cartoonist, children's book author, illustrator, director, and screenwriter. He earned the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 1987 for Bloom County. In 1997 Berkeley began producing a Sunday-only strip featuring Opus the Penguin. That strip just ended in October, and he now plans to devote himself exclusively to books.

Berkeley, his wife, and two children, live in Santa Barbara where we first met. He's a delighful man and very handsome, too. I know you will enjoy this interview. Click HERE for the Berkeley Breathed website
